1st marathon event on the bridge "Rügenbrücke"

The sport event agency “Nordic Events” is going to establish a natural and experiential marathon for everybody in the region. The course of the 42.195 km distance starts in the old town of Stralsund, leads over the new Rugia Bridge on its way to take the imposing German Avenue Road on the island, turn to go round the lap close to the water of the Strelasund and to arrive in the end of the run in the UNESCO world heritage city of Stralsund again. Besides the marathon, there is also a 10 km experiential run/walking and a mini-marathon for kids offered. Eligible for the marathon distance is everybody who is 18 years old.
