Island of Rugia
The tourist and sports offers of this region is especially typified by its 200 km long bike way network, 22 marinas, as well as 84 km of sand and nature beaches. Its coastline of 574 km makes it possible that no point on the island is more than 7 km away from the water. On the area of 976 km² 74,000 people are living. With its three nature reserves, wide-spread forests, seven seaside resorts and six holiday resorts Rugia represents an ideal nature-based leisure, relaxation and sports region.
